Hard Drive Configuration Protection Software Offers Increased Flexibility and Convenience of Use with New Features
(PHILADELPHIA, PA: NECC Booth #1554 – June 27, 2005) – Centurion Technologies, Inc., a pioneer in proven drive and data protection hardware and software, announces the addition of new features to its CompuGuard CornerStone™ hard drive protection software for schools, businesses, and organizations. The new features allow for greater flexibility and convenience for users with the addition of remote CompuGuard Control Center (CCC) viewing and multiple password access.
"We are excited to build on the strength of CornerStone software by adding new features," said Keith Rickman, vice president of Centurion Technologies. "Now, CornerStone can continue to protect school, business and public access computers with greater ease and convenience."
The basis of the CornerStone software is its ability to erase all temporary changes to the hard drive and shield the computer from Malware attempting to cause computer malfunctions. With the software installed, users are empowered to safely experiment without harming their computers, and IT administrators will be saved de-bugging time. CornerStone saves schools and organizations the money and time they spend repairing or replacing infected computers.
CornerStone can accept advanced remote management commands from CompuGuard Control Center (CCC), a remote management program for deployment, administration and licensing of Centurion Technologies Instant Restore products. CCC allows administrators to register and transfer licenses, automate and customize deployment settings, establish auto updates of Centurion's applications, auto schedule all control features and schedule third party security updates.
With nine new added features, CornerStone is the next generation of configuration protection. Leading the enhancements to the software is remote CCC ability, which allows each user access to the remote management tool from any location. This feature makes it possible to execute almost every available client command, like filtering and scheduling, and apply them to your client machines from a remote location.
Another key feature that has been added to the CornerStone software is multiple password access. This feature grants access into the system to more than one user, each with a personalized password. With individual passwords, security is increased because a shared password is no longer necessary between users.
In addition to remote CCC and multiple password additions, CornerStone also introduces six other features – each contributing to the software's increased ease of use and flexibility. Supplementary features include enhancements such as updated storage GUI, key board disabling, shut down/reboot refusal and network optimization.
CornerStone can be purchased directly from Centurion or from any of the company's distributors and resellers. For more information about CornerStone or CCC, visit www.centuriontech.com.
