What is DriveShield PLUS?
Hard Drive Protection with " Instant Restore" Technology.
What does it do?
Insulates the hard drive from changes and makes all actions on the computer temporary unless designated to do otherwise.
How exactly does it work?
Centurion's " Instant Restore" technology creates a temporary buffer zone or scratch space in virtual memory while write-protecting all or portions of the hard drive. Changes or unwanted code are written to the buffer zone, allowing the computer to behave as if all the changes are "actually" taking effect, when in reality, these changes are temporary. A simple reboot will instantly flush the buffer zone free of the undesired changes, culprits, or other negative impact to the machine...restoring the configuration to the pristine image previously established. Essentially, the computer is restored to the user's favored condition after each chosen reboot.
Why is this application unique?
It protects the computer from the dangers of surfing while also protecting the computer from the user. The user can make any changes they desire without penalty. Simply reboot and all configuration changes are back to normal. Since the changes were temporary, they do not permanently impact he computer's settings or operation.
What if I download and INSTALL a virus?
ALL changes, downloads, Viruses, Spyware, Trojans, Worms, Cookies and other tracking devices are routed to the temporary storage area and are completely eliminated from the computer upon reboot. Period! Even though the computer "seems" as if these changes are actually permanent.
